LOYALTY MEETS BLOCKCHAIN

OCTOBER 16

From October 16-18 the Loyalty Live Blockchain Conference took place in Chicago. Experts in the loyalty and blockchain fields met to discuss how the two can intersect.

Top executives from Walmart, DigitalFutures, RewardOps, and DigitalBits were all in attendance to collaborate in discussions on integrating blockchain solutions into the loyalty sector.

Over the course of the three days, Loyalty Live dove deep into blockchain for enterprise with informative lectures and expert panels. Attendees were able to familiarize themselves with the technology and gain a deeper understanding of how blockchain systems could impact the daily lives of consumers. Director Hannah Rosenberg kicked off the event with an overview of blockchain technologies.
The Blockchain Institute team provided educational materials and answered questions at the booth throughout the week.

On October 13th the Blockchain Institute was proud to sponsor the South Side Blockchain Meetup. Eager programmers of all skill levels participated in the event. The topic focused on the Loom Network and their gamified Solidity tutorial, Crypto Zombies.

Crypto Zombies is a web app that creates a guided path for users to learn Solidity, the primary programming language used on the Ethereum network. LaTaevia Berry, cofounder of South Side Blockchain, led the workshop. See the meetup group here.
